About the project
A semi-truck struck the structure, destroying a supporting column and displacing the roof. CPPMS shored the roof to hold it in place, removed the stucco to expose every damaged wood truss, rebuilt two and a half reinforced concrete columns, reinforced the roof trusses bearing on each column, enclosed the framing with structural plywood, and restored the stucco finish.
Following the impact, CPPMS received authorization from the City to proceed with emergency stabilization work before the building permit was issued, so the damaged roof could be secured and supported while formal permitting proceeded.
Scope of work

  • Selective stucco demolition
  • Rebar cages, formwork, and concrete
  • 2½ structural columns rebuilt
